Conference Registration and Confirmation |
|
Please register for the conference here.
Conference registration forms will be accepted until April 28, 2008. Participants who register for the conference will receive a confirmation notice and other relevant information in advance of the conference. If you do not receive your confirmation by May 5, please call the TriTAC office at 800-388-7670.
All participants must register for the conference. Early registration will help us ensure that we have enough space and materials to accommodate all attendees.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no registration fee for this conference.

Conference Travel Stipends |
|
TriTAC will be supporting CCDF attendee travel, on a limited basis, through Travel Stipends. To be eligible for a stipend, you must be a grantee that receives less than $250,000 annually from CCDF or be a CCDF Administrator with less than two years in that position.
Travel Stipends will be awarded to eligible applicants on a first-come basis, with priority given to grantees that receive less than $250,000 annually from CCDF. Please complete the Conference Travel Stipend Application if you are interested and meet the above criteria. The deadline to submit your Conference Travel Stipend Application is April 14, 2008.

General Conference Information |

Attire
Casual or business casual attire is appropriate for all events at this conference and for most leisure activities in the Portland, Oregon area. Because meeting room temperatures can vary, we recommend that you bring a light jacket or sweater with you to the conference sessions.
Cell Phones/Contacting a Conference Participant
During conference sessions and workshops, cellular phones should be turned off or put on silent/vibrate to minimize disruptions for presenters and participants. If your colleagues or family need to reach you during the conference, they may contact the hotel's main number (503-283-4466) and ask for the ACF Child Care Conference office. In an extreme emergency, conference staff will try to locate you in your conference session. For non-emergencies, messages will be
taken and posted on the message board near the conference registration desk.

In May, the average high temperature in Portland, Oregon is 67 degrees Fahrenheit; the average low is 49 degrees Fahrenheit.

What To Do In Your Free Time |

At the Hotels
Amenities at the Red Lion Hotel on the River include a restaurant, café, and lounge; an outdoor pool and whirlpool; a fitness center; tennis courts; and a boat dock. The Oxford Suites has an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and a 24-hour gift shop with video rentals. Both hotels are less than a half mile from the Jantzen Beach SuperCenter, home to over 60 retail stores and restaurants and the historic 1921 CW Parker Carousel. Other shopping and dining options are located within walking distance of the hotels.
Attractions in Portland
Downtown Portland is only 10 minutes from Jantzen Beach by car. Downtown and other popular attractions are also accessible via Portlands low-cost public transit system, TriMet (http://www.trimet.org/), which operates an extensive network of busses and the MAX light-rail service. Within the City Center's "Fareless Square", passengers can ride TriMet buses for free.
